Last Thursday January 22nd, the Games Industry Analytics Forum (GIAF) held its 7th meet-up and its first in San Francisco, hosted at the office of deltaDNA. Created to enable analytics practitioners in the Games Industry to form best practices, share their experiences and network with their peers. GIAF has already delivered great content and insight. All tickets to the event were snapped up.

It is clear that the role of analytics is vital to game success, and that it is a rapidly developing area with real challenges around big data and real-time ‘actionability’.

We were lucky to have three great speakers and topics:

Nick Ross
Director of Analytics, Sega
Principles of Funnel Analysis

Fontaine Foxworth
Product Manager, GoogleAnalytics
GoogleAnalytics

Kei Kondo
Director or Marketing, User Acquisition and Retention, DeNA West
FB Campaign Monitoring and Analytics

You can also view the slides from the presentations on the deltaDNA SlideShare account.

We continued our discussions over some networking beers. Good times.

You can see some more photos from the event in our deltaDNA Facebook album.

We look forward to hosting further sessions at regular intervals. Join the deltaDNA mailing list to keep informed of updates and news.

Thanks to all who have shown an interest in the event, attended and contributed.
